More importantly, steel cylinders maintain negative buoyancy throughout the entire dive. Aluminium tanks become positively buoyant as the gas inside is consumed, forcing divers to add extra lead to compensate. With this Faber steel cylinder, your buoyancy characteristics remain consistent from the moment you enter the water to the moment you surface, making weighting simpler and your dive more comfortable.
