Why CR Neoprene Matters

This suit is made from tough, super-stretchy 5.0mm CR (chloroprene rubber) neoprene, which is widely regarded as the superior choice for wetsuits. CR neoprene offers excellent durability, outstanding thermal insulation, and a comfortable, flexible fit. Be cautious of wetsuits made from SVR (polyester-based) neoprene, which is a cheaper alternative that is less durable, less warm, and importantly, highly flammable. The Atlantis Icon W2 uses only quality CR neoprene throughout.

Construction and Durability

Every detail of the Icon W2 is built to last. The suit is plush lined throughout for comfort against the skin, and features an extra spine pad for additional warmth along your back where heat loss is greatest. Hard-wearing knee pads protect the suit during entries, exits, and kneeling on the boat deck. Heavy duty ankle zips and a vertical front zip make getting in and out straightforward, even after a long dive. All seams are glued and stitched for a strong, water-resistant bond, and high-stress areas are additionally taped for reinforced durability over time.
