Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Apply oil to lubricate both main shafts.
2. Align the hooks with the safety pins over the spring.
3. Position the sets of hooks 180° apart from each other.
4. Lock the safety pins into position on the hooks.
5. Use a 3/4″ or 19mm socket and ratchet to turn the main shaft, compressing the strut spring sufficiently to remove the fastener nut holding the cartridge.
